NY. Police called to Fowler High School in Syracuse for 3 fights

Authorities were called to Fowler High School Tuesday for reports of multiple fights, both on and off school grounds.

Police officers responded the first time around 11:30 a.m. Officers were again called sometime after school had ended for reports of more fights.

There were more fights after school when police were called than in the morning. Several arrests were made.

Michael Henesey, a Syracuse City School District spokesman, said there were three separate fights that occurred during the school day and that they are likely related.

According to the comments:
Three plus hours of rioting and uncontrolled hall roaming by many kids. Closer to ten fights during the course of this and several teachers hurt, didnt see any of that in the report. Some of these kids need an alternative setting and then maybe the 80% that want to do something positive with their lives can graduate and move on. Wake up School Board Members!

Several teachers were hit, shoved, and yes injured. Funny though, i dont see any of that mentioned in this article.

Three teachers were assaulted, but no one cares.

One day, a school violence story. The next, an editorial about how the schools are using too much discipline. Then, a story of violence. Then, an editorial complaint that the schools need to do away with suspensions. Then, violence. Then, an editorial that, horrors, some school had a time out room. Maybe the crime beat reporters could talk to the editorial writers?
