MI. 2 injured, 2 arrested in shooting at Detroit alumni picnic

Two men were injured and two others were arrested after a shooting at a high school alumni picnic on Detroit’s west side tonight.

The motive for the shooting, which happened at about 7:30 p.m. at Mackenzie High School near Wyoming and West Chicago, was unclear.

A 17-year-old male sustained a gunshot wound and is listed in critical condition at a local hospital.

The other victim was a 54-year-old man whose condition was unknown, according to Sgt. Eren Stephens of the Detroit Police Department.

Police arrested two men — a 19-year-old and a 22-year-old — and retrieved two weapons.
