A dozen students were arrested by Shreveport Police after a Monday afternoon brawl on a Caddo Parish school bus.
According to police, a fight broke out on a bus taking students home from Hamilton Terrace Learning Center, just after 3 p.m. Monday.
The bus driver reportedly realized that the vehicle was near the police department. The driver quickly entered the parking lot and told authorities there about the fight.
Around 10 officers assisted in breaking up the fight, and the Shreveport Fire Department was called to provide aid to several injured participants.
In addition to the nine juveniles police arrested Melissa Winston, 18, Malik Speed, 19, and Marquis Lindsey, 17.
Winston, of the 3000 block of Frederick Street in Shreveport, is charged with three counts of resisting an officer with force or violence, one count of simple battery, and one count of inciting a riot.
