Tina Quizon lives near Lehua Elementary School in Pearl City. She says over the past two weekends there have been what appears to be organized fights in the school’s parking lot.
It started… (with) a group of probably 30-50 boys and girls, young adults. (They) were mobbing each other,” Quizon said.
“It was like six different groups going after each other. It was total chaos and it was so unfortunate to see young people choosing to participate.”
Honolulu police say they did respond to a fight Saturday night just before 7 p.m. at Lehua Elementary School.
Paramedics took a 17-year-old boy to the hospital in serious condition.
“The other kids were able to walk off and get back in their cars and drive away.”
She says what’s scary is that the fights have spilled out of the parking lot.
“I have neighbors that are afraid.
