Mainland High School student known to deputies for causing trouble on campus was arrested for bringing a knife to a fight on campus, Volusia sheriff’s investigators said.
Ymonii Arrquis Prince, 18, was arrested Monday for having a 5-inch serrated knife with her at school. She is charged with possession of a destructive device on school property.
Prince was released from jail on $2,000 bail.
Deputies said Prince brought the knife to the high school “with the intent of causing harm to another” and was found walking around campus with a large crowd following her, in the process of starting a fight.
