TN: Teacher assaulted and student arrested at a TN youth development center

A student is arrested for an aggravated assault on a teacher.

Teacher, Eric Zigler received a one-inch cut to the head after 18-year-old Christian Estes threw a chair at him at Woodland Hills Youth Development Center.

According to reports. Zigler had just asked Estes to have a seat at his desk when the student replied, “What would you do if I hit you with this chair?”

Zigler, felt the student was serious and went to get security. That’s when Estes reportedly threw the chair.

Three security guards took Estes to a cell at the facility.

Zigler went to the hospital for treatment of the injury, which had to be glued closed.

Estes is being held at the Davidson County Jail on $30,000 bond.
