GA. Another high school fight, more girls arrested

A Winder police officer arrested a high school student after a cafeteria fight Oct. 26.

According to police reports, a school resource officer was called to the office in reference to a fight, where she met with one of the two girls involved.

The girl had ice and a paper towel over her nose, which was bleeding and had visible swelling.

The officer learned that the girl and a friend had walked into the lunchroom together.

Another person said something, and there was laughter.

Apparently the two girls had a longstanding issue over money taken more than a month ago, and the incident sparked a physical dispute.

While the officer was investigating the situation, she learned another student had filmed the altercation, and requested to view the video.

After watching the video both girls were arrested.

The juvenile was charged with affray and disorderly conduct.

Jasmine B. Lyles, 17, was charged with affray, disorderly conduct and battery.

She was arrested and transported to the Barrow County Detention Center.
